William Penn High School Class of 1989 20-year Reunion November 28, 2009 *****UPDATED October 3, 2009***** Classmates - It is decision time. We have seen an increase in the number of tickets purchased since our last email, but we still need more of you to buy your tickets! We have to get an estimated headcount to the hall by next week, so let's make a final push this week to purchase tickets! Thanks. Steve K. ------------------------------------------------- Hello Classmates!! I hope this letter finds you all happy and healthy. It's so hard to believe it's been 20 years since we graduated! All I can say is WOW!!!! I am writing you this letter for two reasons: 1. to Re-Invite you and explain some details of our upcoming reunion and 2. to GREATLY encourage you to get your tickets IMMEDIATELY! Our 20 year William Penn Class of 1989 Reunion is being held on November 28, 2009 at the Christiana Fire Dept. at 6:30. The reunion will have a fabulous dinner, some live entertainment, DJ for dancing after dinner, table gifts, door prizes, a few surprises, an open bar AND most importantly CATCHING UP WITH ALL OF YOUR FABULOUS CLASSMATES! Your Reunion Committee has been working on the event feverishly all year (actually for several years) but we now need YOUR help. This leads me to the second point of this letter. We NEED you to purchase tickets as soon as you can. This week, if at all possible! As many of you well know we have attempted reunions in the past. The problem has always been people saying they were coming but never ordering the tickets or sending the money. That has been the reason for cancellations in the past. This time we have made it so easy for you by setting up the website ( http://www.williampennhigh.com ) and even letting you purchase the tickets directly from there with your debit or credit card. The William Penn High School Class of 1989 20-year Reunion has been scheduled for Saturday, November 28, 2009!! The reunion will take place at Christiana Fire Hall in Christiana Delaware from 6:30 PM to 11:00 PM. Tickets are $65 per person. Tickets can be securely purchased via PayPal below. The toughest part of coordinating this sort of an event is gathering accurate contact information on our classmates. We have set up an email account (info@williampennhigh.com) and Steve Kendus will maintain this web site to help with this effort. Be sure to look for emails from "WPHS 1989". For example, there were several folks that completed the survey but we don't have direct email addresses for them. A planning committee, comprised of volunteers, will begin meeting to outline the next steps. If you are interested in helping, please email us. Our first steps will be to secure a date and location so we can begin advertising and promoting the event. Online Survey Results Regarding the WPHS Class of 1989 20-year Reunion As you may have heard, we recently conducted an online survey to gauge the level of interest in hosting a 20-year reunion for William Penn's Class of 1989. Overall, the results were very positive.
